This picture was taken 10 June 2004 during this year's Beach Week out at Captiva Island. I had actually finished taking my sunset shots for the day, when I turned around and saw this blue heron standing on the beach. Apparently, it was watching one of our friends fishing and was hoping to get some free dinner from him. Unfortunately, I had used up all of the space on my memory stick, so I had to quickly find a few shots that I could delete. After taking a couple of shots with the sunset to my back, I slowly walked around the bird so that I'd have the sunset in the background. Fortunately, I didn't spook him and I got the shot.
