Return to Europe 2007

Here's what Laura has to say...

July 2nd

This picture occurred on my first flight, we are going to Atlanta, Georgia. The staff on the plane had found out about it being my first time flying so they gave me and Angel a tour of the cockpit, where I could take pictures and actually sit where the pilot sits, plus they also gave me a postcard that has a pair of wings on it.

We were driving through and around the Swiss Alps when I took the picture.  As you can tell that is one of the mountains and if you think this is pretty, imagine seeing around 2 hours of that!!!!!  AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is one of the SMALLEST cars I've ever seen in my entire life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It only holds two people in it, and yet it is so ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This tunnel now has a huge story behind it.  It not only is a very well sculptured piece of art, now every time we walk past it, it definitely makes all 6 of us laugh and think about how that tunnel has made an impact on our trip.  It all began when we were trying to meet up with Bryan after his train ride from one of his many adventures.  We had to meet him at the Spanish Steps (right next to the train station where he got off),  we ended up meeting him at one of the several fountains near our hotel after a good 3 hours!!!!!!!!  Though we did end up seeing tons of more attractions that less than half the tourists will never, ever see in their life (the outskirts). So in the end it was all worth the while.

This is our bus we took around Rome called "The Hop on Hop off Tour."  It's a two story bus that on the top, there is no roof or windows, so if you like taking pictures, you'll want to be on top.

Trevi Fountain is the name of this gorgeous fountain.  It is the biggest and most famous fountain.  I found out that the sculptures on the sides of Neptune (Triton- the God of water) are symbolizing the different types of seas and oceans.  On one side is calm and on the other side of Neptune is the rough side, so it is showing us the good and bad practically.

The Pantheon, also known by us as the "Pants-on".  We gave it that nickname because  you have to wear shorts or pants that cover your knees to go in the Pantheon, plus you have to have shirt that covers your shoulders.  You can not see the fountain that is in front of the Pantheon, but it is also B-E-AUTIFUL!!!!!!
